STEPHEN PRATT
(SOUND RECORDIST)

Nickname: "Stiv"

Stephen Pratt has 20 years experience in the film and television industry as a sound recordist and is a very popular member of the crew. As the team's "word policeman", he will pick up on the slightest grammatical error or wrong infliction every time. This makes him much sought after as a scrabble partner as the cast and crew while away their long nights away from home during filming in other countries.

Married with three children Steve enjoys riding his "cool" motorbike when he is not on location but he also claims sleep as his first priority after the long tiring trips around the world. A mild mannered quiet achiever, it is easy to see that Steve enjoys his work and he loves the travel. He enjoys the great food and atmosphere of the city markets in Kuala Lumpur and has lots of fun bargaining with the locals.

When asked what was the hardest day shoot so far during the series Steve claims it would have to be the filming in a small "Tinny" off Crab Claw Island near Darwin. He says the waves were getting bigger and beginning to soak the crew and their equipment when the driver informed them that he was not sure where they were and thought they were lost. It looked like it would be a complete disaster as they risked losing their gear and being eaten by crocodiles. "Just another days work" Steve maintained.

Most momentous filming experience: Filming on top of the Reunification Palace in Ho Chi Minh City.

Favourite Food: Calamari
